Hello! I'm Barry
Computer Information Technology student based in Vancouver, BC
I'm studying Computer Information Technology at BCIT and preparing for co-op, with a focus on IT, systems, web development, databases, and cybersecurity.
I'm drawn to hands-on technical work: building, troubleshooting, breaking problems down, and understanding how systems really work. Through BuiNail, a multi-tenant salon app running in production, I've worked with Next.js, React, and TypeScript on Supabase and Postgres, with Stripe payments, Playwright and Vitest test suites, Sentry error monitoring, and CI/CD deploys on Railway.
I'm especially interested in cybersecurity, IT support, systems analysis, and technology roles connected to government or law enforcement. My goal is to become reliable, sharp, and useful under pressure.
Outside of tech, I'm usually at the gym, gaming, working on my setup, or learning about cars.
